The year is 1949 and the Second World War is still trudging on. Everything took a turn for the worse in 1945 when the American atomic bombs were met with German and Japanese atomic bombs in retaliation. This action caused a thickening in the atmosphere with radioactive ash and dangerous weather effects across the planet.
Most of the soldiers still fighting, no matter what army they serve in, are no longer fighting under any flag, tired of being led by generals in silver towers. Soldiers roam around in Rogue Sections scouring the tired battlefields looking for food, supplies and valuables to take back to their families.
